General information

Where is the hotel located and how can I get there?

The hotel is located in Anacapri, the other municipality on the island, in one of the most scenic spots on the island, overlooking the entire Gulf of Naples, a few minutes from the centre with its typical narrow streets and buildings, just a short walk from Axel Munthe's famous Villa San Michele and the chairlift that leads to the incomparable viewpoint of Monte Solaro, the highest point on the island. It is ideally located for easy access to all areas of the island, walks and excursions throughout the territory; close to public bus stops for the centre of Capri, the port, the legendary Blue Grotto, the bathing establishments of Anacapri and the beaches of Marina Piccola.

The island of Capri can be reached from Naples (embarkation at the Beverello pier or the Calata di Massa pier), from Sorrento, and from the Amalfi Coast by public transport: ferries, hydrofoils, catamarans, and speedboats, or more ‘independently’ by ‘sea taxi’ and helicopter.

From early morning until late evening, especially in the summer season, there are only short intervals between arrivals at the port of Marina Grande.

Once here, you can reach the hotel by taxi (approx. 10 minutes), direct public bus (approx. 15 minutes), or funicular to Capri and then public bus to Anacapri.

The bus stop is about 30 metres from the hotel.

Just call the hotel to find out the timetable and all the necessary information. We try to make your journey as peaceful and comfortable as possible.

On request, we can arrange, for an additional fee, transfer from Naples airport or railway station directly to the hotel.

What are the reception opening hours?

The reception is open 24 hours a day; the cash desk for payments (balance of stay, extras, etc.) is open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

What languages are spoken at reception?

Italian, English and Spanish.

Can children stay at the hotel?

Of course.

Are pets allowed?

We normally accept small pets, which must be reported at the time of booking and are not allowed in the breakfast room. If the customer assures us that the pet in question, even if it is not XS size, is ‘very sweet’ (docile, quiet, submissive, obedient, harmless, etc.) not only towards its owners but also towards others, it will also be our guest.

In this case, to make the animal feel at ease and taking into account its needs, we will assign its “family” a room with a terrace and access to the garden.

Is there a tourist tax?

No, there is no tourist tax on the island. There is a so-called ‘landing tax’ which is included in the ticket price for the ferry to the island.

Check-in and check-out

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is normally at 3 p.m.; it is usually possible to check in earlier; if the room has not been occupied previously, it is possible to check in early in the morning.

Check-out is at 11:00 a.m.; if the room has not been booked for the same night, we allow guests to leave later. In any case, guests can leave their luggage at the hotel.

How does hotel check-in work?

Check-in takes place immediately upon the guest's arrival at the hotel; it only takes a few minutes to verify the reservation and collect, for the minimum time required for registration, the identity document of each guest, including children.

Under penalty of non-acceptance by the hotel, each guest is required to present a valid physical identity document at check-in; for non-EU guests, only a passport is required.

What documents are required for check-in?

At check-in and before taking possession of the assigned room, it is mandatory to present a valid identity document for each guest (adults and minors) at the reception desk for the necessary registration procedures. In particular, for Italian guests, the documents accepted are identity card or passport or driving licence; for those belonging to countries within the European Community, the documents accepted are identity card or passport; for all other guests of any other nationality, it is mandatory and exclusive to present a passport.

By law, those without identification documents will not be allowed to stay at the hotel.

Is it possible to check in early?

Yes, it is possible to check in early.

In this case, once you have checked in, if the room assigned to you was not occupied the previous night, you can take possession of it immediately; otherwise, the room will be available as soon as it has been tidied up, but no later than 3:00 PM.

Is it possible to postpone check-out?

Yes, it is possible. If the room has not been booked for the same night, we give guests the option of keeping it beyond the scheduled check-out time (11:00 a.m.).

Hotel and services

Does the hotel have a concierge service?

Yes, it is available to customers in particular for:
- transfers to and from any national port or airport;
- sea, rail, and air reservations;
- excursions and tours on the island and by sea around the island;
- reservations for restaurants, beach clubs, nightclubs, wellness and sports centers, etc.;
- scooter, boat, motorboat, and “gozzi capresi” rentals for sea trips;
- babysitting.

What are the accessibility features of the building?

We do not have rooms or bathrooms with specific equipment, however:
- we are located along a carriage road, so we are easily accessible by car and any means of transport used by people with disabilities;
- access to the hotel is easy, with no obstacles (stairs or anything else) to overcome;
- we have rooms on the same level as the hotel entrance, so they can be accessed without any obstacles by wheelchair.

Does the hotel have an elevator?

No, the hotel has only two floors connected by an internal staircase.

Is there a shuttle service to/from the hotel?

No, we do not offer a shuttle service.

The island itself is small and any point can be reached quickly and easily; most of the territory is accessible only on foot. The road network with vehicular traffic is extremely limited and very well served by public buses and taxis.

Is there parking available at the facility?

Yes, there is ample free indoor parking.

Unless special exemptions are granted, which require authorisation, from April to October, two- and four-wheeled vehicles belonging to non-permanent residents are prohibited from entering and circulating on the island. In any case, we do not recommend bringing your vehicle, given the limited possibilities for circulation due to the narrowness of the island's roads and the efficient local public transport service. If you have your own vehicle, we suggest leaving it in a secure car park or garage, which can be found in all the ports of embarkation for the island.

Is there a charging service for electric cars?

Yes, but only if charging is done using a 220 V household plug.

Is there a luggage storage service?

Yes, we will store luggage for as long as the customer wishes.

Does the facility have Wi-Fi connection?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel and in outdoor areas.

Does the property have a private beach/lido? Are there any beaches nearby?

No, the property does not have a private beach or lido.

The beaches in the surrounding area do not have traditional sand; some have small and medium-sized pebbles, while most are rocky with varying depths. All can be reached on foot via picturesque paths, some more quickly by public bus or taxi, in particular:
- those in Anacapri: Grotta Azzurra and Faro in 15 minutes by public bus, whose terminal is 300 metres from the hotel;
- those in Capri: Marina Piccola and Marina Grande in 20 minutes by public bus from Anacapri, whose stop is 150 metres from the hotel;
- the Faraglioni can be reached by public bus to Capri and then on foot, or from Marina Piccola by boat/ferry from either of the two bathing establishments.

Do you provide beach towels?

Yes, free of charge.

Rooms

What amenities are offered in the rooms?

Balcony or terrace; private bathroom with bathtub and/or shower; hairdryer; direct dial telephone; minibar; safe; satellite TV; air conditioning/heating.

On request and at no extra charge, we serve breakfast in your room.

Smoking is not permitted inside the building or in the rooms; the outdoor common areas and terraces of each room meet the needs of guests who smoke.

Do you have accessible rooms?

Our hotel does not have rooms or bathrooms with specific facilities for disabled guests.

However:
- we are located along a road accessible to vehicles, so we are easily reachable by car or any other means of transport;
- access to the hotel is easy, with no obstacles (stairs or other barriers) to overcome;
- we have rooms located on the same level as the hotel entrance, so they can be accessed without any obstacles by wheelchair users;

Are there rooms available for smokers?

No, smoking is not permitted inside the building or in the rooms; the outdoor common areas and terraces of each room cater to the needs of guests who smoke.

Are cots and beds for children available?

Yes, we have cots available.

Is breakfast included?

Yes, breakfast is included

What time is breakfast served?

From 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Where is breakfast served?

In a spacious breakfast room with a panoramic view. Upon request and at no extra charge, breakfast can be served directly in your room.

What kind of breakfast is served?

Buffet style. Hot drinks are served at the table.

Are there options for celiacs, vegetarians, and vegans?

Yes, upon client's request.

Catering

Are catering services provided?

No, the hotel does not offer restaurant service. However, we do offer room service and breakfast.

The hotel's proximity to the city centre means that there are numerous restaurants for lunch and dinner just a few minutes away.

Is it possible to have lunch/dinner at the hotel?

Our hotel offers room service and breakfast, but does not have a restaurant. If guests wish, they can have lunch and/or dinner at a restaurant a few steps from the hotel with which we have an agreement; guests can decide on a daily basis whether and which meals to have.

Is there a bar in the hotel?

Yes.

Activities / Experiences / Events

Do you organize tours and excursions in the surrounding area?

Yes, especially for all other locations in the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast.

Is it possible to practice sports at the hotel?

The hotel has a sports center with three floodlit tennis courts, offering lessons with instructors who can teach in different languages, coaches, ball boys, and equipment hire. Guests can also play soccer and table tennis.

Payments and cancellations

Which credit cards are accepted for payment?

All credit cards are accepted.

What are the cancellation terms?

Reservations can be cancelled up to fifteen days prior to arrival without penalty; from fourteen days prior to arrival or in case of no-show, 100% of the entire stay will be charged.

To guarantee the booking, a deposit equal to one night's stay is required at the time of booking. Fourteen days before the arrival date, a secure Nexi link (valid for 24 hours) will be sent to the customer for prepayment of the remaining amount of the stay, and the booking can no longer be changed or cancelled.
