Hotel Bellavista, set in one of the island’s most panoramic locations, is also one of Capri’s oldest hotels. Its history dates back to the 17th century, when the building served as a watchtower protecting the island from raids by sea.
Despite undergoing several renovations over the centuries, the hotel has preserved the distinctive architectural features of Capri’s historic residences: spacious, light-filled interiors, high barrel- and cross-vaulted ceilings, majolica-tiled floors, terraces, and colonnaded walkways crowned by the traditional wooden pergolas once used in local vineyards.
